– Sam Walton and he continued… “And he can fire everybody in the company from the chairman on down, simply by spending his money somewhere else.”

This is clearly very true – make no mistake that your customers can and will walk for any number of reasons.

Whether you’re a business that is established, or whether you’re starting up what is one of the most important assets you will ever have? Your customers of course! They are the bread and butter of any business so it’s only right you treat them properly – this could be with special offers or simply good customer service. If you don’t they’re gone and someone else will reap the rewards.

Unfortunately this isn’t always the case and it’s not unusual for any business to lose existing customers because their focus isn’t on them. My advice is always treat your customers well, listen to them and never ever take them for granted. And remember, your customers not only bring in the money, they’ll also bring in more customers so listen up and be smart because retaining them is just as difficult as getting them in the first place.
