Why It Is Impossible to say Sorry in Business
We all teach our kids that when they do something wrong a simple sorry will work wonders. We all make mistakes and we all continue to make mistakes.
However, with modern litigation it is now impossible to admit that you got it wrong. If you were to say sorry to a client or to a business associate because you made a mistake then a nightmare scenario would develop because you immediately fear that you would be taken to court for compensation.
The more the compensation culture develops the less it will be possible to follow the basic advice we give our children – I am sure you agree it should be easy for all us to say “I got this wrong”.
