Other than to the taxpayer when they get it wrong!
At the end of last year the HMRC requested to be on a revised list of emergency services allowed to break the legal speed limit. The HMRC wants the powers similar to the emergency services.
The request was announced as the Department for Transport consults on allowing additional exemptions for breaking the speed limit barrier.
We are not convinced that the HMRC who join the bomb disposal unit, vehicles carrying organs for transplant and the coastguard on the list have a just cause.
